Piedmont University has partnered with BloomBoard to support school districts in addressing their teacher shortages through a new on-the-job degree program that enables school paraprofessionals and staff to earn their teaching credentials while continuing to work. The initial program will focus on high-need teaching areas, offering a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education.

New Special Education Residency Program in CCSD to Open Doors for Aspiring Teachers

Four aspiring special education teachers in the Clarke County School District will have a more accessible pathway to certification as they earn on-the-job training and bachelor degree course credit simultaneously through a new partnership that will also help the district address current staffing shortages.

IGNITE DeKalb Teacher Residency Program Expanded

The DeKalb County School District (DCSD) is proud to announce it has expanded its IGNITE DeKalb Teacher Residency Program. This initiative offers district paraprofessionals a pathway to earn a fully accredited Elementary Education and Special Education degree, integrating online learning with practical classroom experience.
