Micro-credential Overview

Micro-credentials are a form of certification earned by demonstrating competency in one specific area at a time. BloomBoard’s micro-credentials are created by educators, based on research, and designed to meaningfully improve teachers’ instructional practices. They are earned through our learn-by-doing process, allowing teachers to submit evidence from their own classroom practice to demonstrate their skills. What sets BloomBoard micro-credentials apart is the depth of instruction, coaching, peer support and rigorous assessment we provide. South Bend will offer three separate pathways to meet the diverse needs of educators, providing an opportunity for growth no matter where they are in their individual career path.

South Bend U Course Pathway

South Bend will offer three micro-credential based courses to a limited cohort of educators this fall. These courses will allow you to demonstrate your competency and deepen your understanding in the areas that are important to South Bend. Those who are interested can transfer eligible micro-credentials to receive graduate credit from Oklahoma Christian University! Participants are eligible for a $150 stipend per earned micro-credential up to 4 micro-credentials per year. An additional $200 stipend is available for those who attend all Success Academy sessions.
